Do you use Precision X If so then hit the K button to lock it. I'm just a bit lost.Īny advice would be appreciated. You need to choose maximum performance in the nvidia control panel instead of optimal power. Well for me I want to just have a good boost out of the card for 24/7 gaming for 2 weeks lol. Maxwell, as weve written in a how-to guide before, overclocks. Also I see a lot of people spending so much time overclocking their cards but then there is generally a line saying to not keep your graphics cards at that setting for too long. The GTX 980 Ti runs GM200, the same GPU found in nVidias Titan X video card, and is driven by Maxwells new overclocking ruleset. some people don't even touch the clock speed. I am having trouble with what ratios between clock/mem to use. I was able to overclock my gpu core clock speed by 250mhz in my 1050 4gig laptop varient (not TI) with afterburner. I tried fooling around myself a bit but it was really just taking stabs in the dark and it didn't work out very well. It runs FurMark, an OpenGL program, to attempt to find the highest stable overclock. I've never let it get above 70-74.Ĭan any1 offer some adjustments as far as base/boost/mem clock/power settings go? PrecisionX OC uses an integrated scanner that we tested. It isn't liquid cooled or anything but the fans keep it nice and cool. I have heard of people getting it up to 1500 with some mild power adjustments, but I obviously don't want to damage the card right before I get another one. worth it with GPU boost these days to overclock my GTX 1060 SSC from EVGA. They couldn’t duplicate what we were seeing, but we manually set the memory clocks on the cards running 1900MHz to get them properly set at 2000MHz for the charts above. The clock speed is already at 1314 or so boosted. With EVGAs GTX 1060 comes the new and improved EVGA PrecisionX, Precision XOC. I am actually getting another 980 in 2 weeks but for the time being there are a few games that are very close to being smooth with 1 card and I'd just like to push the card a little further until I get a 2nd one. Hey all, I've had a gtx 980 for a few weeks now and I play at 4k.
